Emerald Coast Victim Services was built to address what happens after the moment — bridging forensic care, education, and long-term pathways to support.

From experience — not theory
This work didn’t come from an idea. It came from what I’ve seen — and what I knew was missing.
Through years in emergency care, primary care, and forensic nursing, I’ve cared for individuals in some of their most vulnerable moments.
And what stood out wasn’t just what happened in those moments — it was what happened after.
The gaps. The lack of continuity. The absence of support once someone left the room.
Emerald Coast Victim Services was built to change that.
To create a model that doesn’t stop at immediate response — but continues forward, supporting what comes next with intention, clinical insight, and real connection.
Nurse-led and clinically grounded Focused on both immediate support and long-term impact Integrates education, community outreach, and provider training Works alongside existing advocacy programs to strengthen overall care Built to address the full impact of trauma — not just the moment itself
LEADERSHIP
Founder
Founded by a Doctor of Nursing Practice and board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Emerald Coast Victim Services is built on a foundation of clinical expertise, trauma awareness, and a deep understanding of the gaps that exist in care.
With experience in emergency, primary care, and forensic nursing, our leadership brings a unique perspective — one that prioritizes safety, dignity, and long-term support.
This is care designed with both clinical understanding and lived experience of the system itself.
Working together We believe this work is strongest when done in collaboration.
We work alongside advocacy organizations, healthcare providers, and community partners to strengthen access to care and support across the Emerald Coast.
After that, people are often left trying to figure out what to do next — how to access care, what their options are, and how to move forward without feeling overwhelmed or dismissed.
That’s where we come in.
We help bring structure to what can feel unclear — connecting individuals to care, walking through next steps, and supporting what happens after the immediate response. Not all at once, and not rushed — but in a way that allows someone to move forward with more clarity and support.
02. Why was Emerald Coast Victim Services created?
+
This work came from seeing the gaps — not just in access, but in follow-through.
There are systems in place for immediate response, but far less support for what comes after. People are often left navigating complex decisions, fragmented care, and next steps on their own.
Emerald Coast Victim Services was created to change that.
To build something that doesn’t stop at the first interaction — but continues forward, with intention, structure, and support that actually meets people where they are.
03. How is this approach different?
+
We are a nurse-led organization, which means this work is grounded in both clinical understanding and real-world experience.
We don’t separate care from context. We look at what’s happening medically, emotionally, and practically — and how those pieces connect.
Most systems are built around a single point of care. We are building something that supports what happens before, during, and after — while also training providers to do this work better.
It’s not about doing more. It’s about doing it in a way that actually supports people long-term.
